Hi, I’m Julie! I’ve been drawing since I could pick up a pencil and I love making art so much I made a career out of it and have been tattooing professionally since 2010. I grew up in Minneapolis MN and studied fine art and graphic design before becoming a Tattoo Artist. Me and my husband moved to Seattle at the end on 2019 for better scenery and weather. Prior to opening West Seattle Tattoo we owned two private studios. One was in Minnesota prior to our move here and the other was here in West Seattle prior to opening the shop. We have been working together since 2018. I’m so happy I get to go to work everyday and do what I love with a talented artist, my best friend and husband, Daniel Sas.

I have a passion for art and design and love creating dynamic tattoos. I specialize in color tattooing and have won several awards for my tattoos at conventions. I enjoy tattooing nostalgic 90’s toys, yummy foods, cute animals and adding retro aesthetics and glittery accents to my tattoos.  I like to use bright, bold, contrasting colors in my pieces and a variety of line widths to create a dynamic design. I have an eye for detail and enjoy putting my spin on each piece.

Hi, I’m Daniel Sas. I was born in Romania where my family had to escape communism. We made our way to Vancouver, Canada and later moved to Las Vegas, NV. I went back to Canada for university where I studying to be an Orthodox priest like my father and 3 older brothers. After seminary I followed my passion for art through tattooing. I had always drawn portraits and was artistic from a very young age but never saw it as a career. I’d like to think that tattooing found me when I was lost and changed my life by giving me the avenue and tools to determine my future. I am forever grateful to this trade.

Once I started tattooing in Vancouver CAN in 2010, I worked at several shops before packing everything into one suitcase and tattooing my way through Europe. I came back to the States and worked mainly in Miami followed by Minneapolis where I met my wife, Julie. It has been the great surprise of my career marrying such a talented tattoo artist and achieving all of our goals together. Iron truly sharpens iron. We started working together in 2018 and since then have opened 2 successful private studios that ran their course in Minneapolis and West Seattle. Now we are opening our first street shop together, West Seattle Tattoo!

I’ve worked in 2 continents, 6 countries and more cities than I can remember. Even won some awards. It’s all challenged me, made me better inside and out and introduced me to all kinds of great people and artists. I pride myself on being able to do most anything that comes through the door, but I prefer to do black and grey realism, portraits (humans/animals) and custom tattoo designs. I don’t dislike color, I just love smooth shading and fine lines/custom script. I really enjoy doing anything film, music, culture or sports related. I am also experienced in doing cover-ups and reworking old tattoos.
